Be Safe delivers personal safety training for corporate and organisational settings. Our approach focuses on awareness, early recognition of risk, and clear decision-making under pressure -- not physical confrontation.

Whether your staff are public-facing, lone-working, or simply want greater confidence in unfamiliar situations, our programmes provide practical, memorable skills that work under real stress.

Escape to Gain Safety for the workplace

Our flagship programme, Escape to Gain Safety, can be adapted for workplace environments. It is delivered either as a practical hands-on session or as a structured talk or presentation, depending on the needs of the group.

The programme teaches participants to recognise risk early, use positioning and movement to create space, make clear choices under pressure, and prioritise disengagement and escape over confrontation.

Everything taught is simple, effective, and designed to work when stress removes complexity. No prior experience or physical fitness is required.

Who this is for

Be Safe corporate training is suitable for a wide range of organisations and roles:

  • Corporate teams and office-based staff
  • Charities and voluntary sector organisations
  • Faith-based organisations
  • Staff in public-facing or customer-facing roles
  • Lone workers and those in higher-risk environments
  • Teams managing external visits, events, or travel

Programmes have been delivered internationally, including training church missionaries in Canada and supporting organisations working with victims of human trafficking in the United States.

How delivery works

Sessions are flexible and can be adapted to your organisation's schedule, location, and team size. Options include:

  • Lunchtime or half-day awareness talks
  • Full-day practical workshops
  • Team away-day sessions
  • Recurring annual provision

All delivery is calm, professional, and structured. Risk assessments are undertaken prior to each session, adapted to the specific environment and group. Public liability insurance is in place for all delivery.

Frequently asked questions

Is the training physical?

Escape to Gain Safety can include simple, controlled physical simulations using pads, framed as last-resort options to create a brief opportunity to disengage and escape. For corporate settings, the programme can also be delivered as a structured talk or presentation with no physical elements, depending on the needs and preferences of your team.

Is this suitable for all abilities?

Yes. The programme does not rely on strength, size, or athletic ability. The focus is on awareness, positioning, decision-making, and creating a brief opportunity to disengage rather than physical dominance. No prior experience or fitness is required.

Where does the training take place?

All sessions are delivered on-site at your premises. For physical sessions, a hall or open indoor space is ideal. For talks and presentations, a standard meeting room or presentation space is suitable.

How long are sessions?

Sessions are flexible and can be adapted to your schedule. Options include lunchtime talks, half-day sessions, full-day workshops, and team away-day formats. We work with you to ensure delivery fits your requirements.

What is the ideal group size?

For practical sessions involving physical elements, we typically work with groups of up to 30 participants. For talks and presentations, larger groups can be accommodated, including whole-team or department-wide sessions.

How does this differ from martial arts training?

Be Safe is not a martial arts programme. It is a personal safety education programme focused on awareness, choice, disruption for escape, and disengagement. The emphasis is on what remains effective under stress in real-world situations, not competitive or combative training.
